Privacy Policy
Short version: I collect only what you send me, I use it to reply and work with you, and I never sell it. Here are the details.
Effective date: November 1, 2026. This policy covers jenalston.com, run by Jennifer Alston, an independent SEO, GEO and AEO consultant based in the United States. Questions? Email jennifer@jenalston.com.
What I collect and why
- Contact form. Your name, email, company or website, the service you're interested in, the type of engagement and your message. I use it to reply to you and to scope a project. The form is delivered to my inbox by Web3Forms.
- Booking a call. When you schedule a discovery call, Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you give. I use them to prepare for our call.
- Free downloads and occasional tips. When you request a free resource, I collect your name and email to send it. If you agree, I'll also send occasional SEO and AI search tips. You can unsubscribe anytime, and I only email people who signed up.
- Emails you send me. Whatever you choose to include, used to reply and work together.
- Site analytics. I use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to see how people find and use this site: pages visited, how you got here (like a search or a LinkedIn post), and your general location, device and browser. It uses cookies. I look at these reports as totals to improve the site, not to identify you. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
What I don't collect
This site doesn't use advertising cookies. The AI Share of Voice Calculator runs entirely in your browser. Anything you paste into it is saved only in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off, and it's never sent to me or to Google Analytics. Use its Clear all button to remove it.

How long I keep it
I keep messages and booking details for as long as we're in touch or working together, plus a reasonable time after for my records. If you sign up for tips, I keep your email until you unsubscribe.
Sharing
I never sell or rent your information. I share it only with the services listed above, so they can do their jobs, or if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the information I have about you, or to take you off my email list. Just email jennifer@jenalston.com, and I'll take care of it within 30 days.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and professionals. It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
